Zachary DuBourdieu (Carlsbad, Calif./Sage Creek) from Chaminade University men's golf on Thursday was named as a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
DuBourdieu, who just wrapped up his sophomore season, averaged 76.8 shots per round. His best score this season was a 1-under-par at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic in Goodyear, Arizona, in early April.
DuBourdieu is the second Silversword recognized as a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar. Jeren Nishimoto was the first 'Sword to garner the honor during the 2020-21 season.
To be nominated as a Division II Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar, a student-athlete's coach must be a dues-paying member of the GCAA, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.20, compete in at least 50 percent of the team's varsity rounds and have a scoring average of 78.0 per round or under during the season.
