Men’s Golf Completes Second Fall Tournament

WAIMEA, Hawai'i – The Chaminade University men's golf team finished their second tournament of the fall non-championship season Tuesday in 10th-place at the annual Dennis Rose Intercollegiate at the par-72 Mauna Lani Golf Course on the Big Island.
 
The Silverswords shot a three-round total of 938, wrapping up the third round with a 323.
 
Freshman Chance Wilson (Princeville, Kaua'i, Hawai'i/Enlightium Academy) was the 'Swords' low scorer, finishing tied for 20th overall with a 10-over-par 226. Wilson shot a final round 1-over 73.
 
Fellow freshman J.J. Hutchins (Los Angeles/Huntington Beach) finished at 15-over followed by Cody Dao (Henderson, Nev./Liberty) who was just one shot behind him.
 
A.J. Dahlk (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) completed his three rounds at plus-37 while Jack Shea (Somerset, Mass./Bishop Stang) was at plus-59.
 
Tanner Capik (Los Angeles/Beverly Hills) competed as an individual and shot a 54-hole total of 34-over.
 
Cal State Monterey Bay was the team winner at 15-over 879, defeating host University of Hawai'i Hilo in a playoff. Colorado Christian's Peyton Jones was the individual medalist at 3-under, winning by three shots over a trio of others.
 
The Silverswords will wrap their fall season this weekend at the Hawai'i Pacific University Southwest Airlines Sharks Shootout at the Pearl Country Club in Aiea, their first tournament on O'ahu since October 2022. The Shootout starts on Friday and concludes on Saturday.
