BUCKEYE, Ariz. – The Chaminade University men's golf team on Tuesday concluded the Stack Cougar-Burro Collegiate in 14th, shooting a 54-hole total of 933.
The Silverswords shot a 301 in the final round of the Collegiate, which was at the par-72 Golf Club of Estrella. The first two rounds were at the par-72 Verrado Golf Course in Buckeye, Arizona, just 15 miles away. The tournament was co-hosted by Colorado Christian College and the Colorado School of Mines.
Ky Stopp (Long Beach, Calif./Woodrow Wilson) and
Jack Yeager (San Clemente, Calif./JSerra Catholic) both finished at 12-over-par 228. Stopp was consistent throughout the tournament, posting 4-over 76s in all three rounds. After struggling in the first round with a 13-over, Yeager settled down, firing a 1-over 73 in Round 2, followed by a 2-under 70 in the final round. Yeager's last round included an eagle on the par-4, 416-yard 2nd hole.
Ethan Alexander (New Rochelle, N.Y./Fordham Prep) carded a 5-over 77 in the Round 3, his best score of the tournament, to finish with a 235.

A.J. Dahlk (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) had his lowest score in the final round with a 6-over 78, finishing with a 249.
Blake Buonopane (Rowley, Mass./St. John's Prep) had an 86 in the final 18 holes to post a total of 250.
Colorado Christian, the No. 1-ranked squad in Division II, ran away with the team title, shooting 11-under, 36 strokes ahead of runner-up Colorado Mesa University.
CCU's Adam Duncan and CMU's Cole Breyer were the co-individual champions at 11-under. Duncan took medalist honors after winning a one-hole playoff.
The Silverswords' next tournament is the Pacific West Conference Championships from April 21-23 at the Aliante Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada.
