Three members from the Chaminade University men's basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Roland Banks II (Bakersfield, Calif./Fullerton College/Cathedral HS), Jackson Last (Hurricane, Utah/Robert Morris University/Hurricane HS) and Kameron Ng (Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Univ. of Hawai'i Hilo/Saint Francis HS) were honored for the outstanding achievements in the classroom.

The three not only excelled in their studies but helped the Silverswords win 16 games and post the team's first winning season since 2019-20.

Banks holds a 3.80 grade-point average in Business Administration. On the court, the junior averaged 9.6 points and was second in assists at 2.8 per game. He was also third in steals at a 1.7 per game clip.

Last has a 4.00 GPA as an MBA graduate transfer and came to Chaminade after two years at Robert Morris University where his cumulative undergraduate GPA there was 3.97. The Silverswords' leading scorer, Last was 10th in the Pacific West Conference in points and was one of the conference's top long range shooters, averaging 2.2 triples per game, which was sixth, and a 3-point percentage of 34.3 which was ninth.

Ng carries a GPA of 3.68 in Criminology and Criminal Justice. The senior played in all 27 games as the 'Swords' primary point guard, leading them in assists at 3.5 per outing, which was tied for fourth in the PacWest while also leading the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.0. Ng also found touch from deep, drilling a career-high 21 3-pointers.

To be recognized on the Academic All-District team, candidates must be a sophomore both academically and athletically, have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 and have played in either 90 percent or have started in 66 percent of their team's contests.
