LONG BEACH, Calif. – Chaminade University men's golfer
Ky Stopp (Long Beach, Calif./Woodrow Wilson) on Wednesday was named to the All-Pacific West Conference Third Team.
The sophomore, who earned his second all-conference honor, was the Silverswords' low scorer during the 2024-25 season with an adjusted scoring average of 75.2 shots-per-round (74.82 non-adjusted) in 22 events. His 49 birdies were the third highest on the team and was one of three 'Swords to post an eagle. His 2-under-par finish at the HPU Sharks Invitational last November was just the fourth time a Chaminade golfer was under-par through 36 holes.
Stopp wrapped up his second year by carding a 227 and a tie for third at the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship in Wisconsin. Through the first 19 events of the season, his Clippd ranking (collegiate golf's scoring provider) was 14.72.
The All-PacWest Teams were based, in order, through the Clippd rankings.
Academy of Art's Giulio Zanichelli was named the PacWest Golfer of the Year for the second straight season while Freshman of the Year went to Michael Soler of Jessup University. Coach of the Year was Earl Tamiya of the University of Hawai'i Hilo.
