HONOLULU – The "Celebration of Life" ceremony for late Chaminade University men's basketball head coach Merv Lopes will be live-streamed on the athletics' website site at GoSwords.com.
The ceremony, which will be held at McCabe Gymnasium where Lopes paced the sidelines for 12 seasons, begins at 2:30 p.m. Hawai'i time and can be viewed

Lopes, who passed away in May at the age of 92, is the winningest head coach in program history, compiling 238 victories. His signature win was the Dec. 23, 1982 shocker over then-No. 1 Virginia which ultimately led to the creation of the Southwest Airlines Maui Invitational.
