Kent King (Washington, D.C./Vincennes University/Fork Union Military Academy) on Wednesday was named to the All-Pacific West Conference Men's Basketball Third Team in voting conducted by the conference coaches.
The senior finished 10th in the scoring at the end of the regular season at 15.7 points per game, second in steals at 2.1, fourth in rebounding at 7.3 and eighth in assists at 2.9. He also shot 41.5 percent from the floor (15th in the PacWest), 70.2 at the free throw line (22nd) and 1.6 made 3-pointers per game (tied for 14th).
King hit double-digit scoring in all but three games with a career-high 26 against Menlo on Jan. 15. He also tallied eight double-doubles with a career-best 14 rebounds on Feb. 17 against Azusa Pacific. His seven steals at Menlo on Feb. 24 was tied with three others for the most in a PacWest game this season.
Point Loma's Andrew Nagy was the PacWest's Player and Newcomer of the Year while Jessup had Andre Norris and Tom Parsons as the conference's defender and freshman of the year, respectively. Coach of the Year went to Westmont's Justin Leslie.
