NORMAN, Okla. – Chaminade University men's golfers
Ky Stopp (Long Beach, Calif./Woodrow Wilson) and
Jack Yeager (San Clemente, Calif./JSerra Catholic) have been named as Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
Stopp, an All-Pacific West Conference Third Team, has a cumulative grade-point average of 3.40 as a Sport and Event Management major. As a sophomore during the 2024-25 season, he posted the lowest season scores in team history for lowest per-round average (74.82) and to-par average (3.09). His career per-round average of 75.42 is currently the lowest in school history.
Yeager is a Criminology and Criminal Justice major with a cumulative GPA of 3.57. Yeager completed an outstanding sophomore season with a per-round average of 75.45. His to-par average of 3.75 is the second-lowest in team history, only behind Stopp's average. Yeager's career average of 75.98 trails only Stopp.
To qualify as a Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar, candidates must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically, participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 (for Division II golfers) and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20. Recipients must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their institution.
