Shiroma, Cordone Named Silversword Athletes of the Week

Chaminade University men's soccer defender Kauli'a Shiroma (Wailua, Kaua'i, Hawai'i/Whitworth University/Kapa'a HS) and women's soccer midfielder Milan Cordone (Las Vegas/University of Northern Iowa/Coronado HS) are the Silversword Male and Female Athletes of the Week for competition between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1.
 
Shiroma, one of eight Silverswords seniors, made his first career start Saturday against Hawai'i Pacific University and played all 90 minutes in his final game. His previous high for minutes was 37 in September 2025.
 
Cordone scored the game-winning goal and had an assist in the Silverswords' 3-0 over HPU in the final game of her collegiate career. One of five seniors celebrated, her 20-yard blast broke a scoreless tie in the 57th minute. Five minutes later, she assisted on the team's second goal, giving her a fourth assist of the season, tying the program's single-season record. Cordone ended the season co-leading the team with 10 points.
