HONOLULU – This weekend will see a plethora of Chaminade University home athletic events with women's volleyball, men's and women's soccer and the start of men's and women's basketball seasons.
Saturday will have four different teams in action so fans are reminded that activity may be more congested around campus than usual.
Women's Volleyball
On Thursday and Friday, the volleyball Silverswords will return home to McCabe Gymnasium to begin their final four-match home stand to close out the season. Both start times are pushed back to accommodate the Hoops in Hawai'i Tip-Off Classic basketball tournaments.
Thursday's match against No. 18 Point Loma at 7:30 p.m. has been designated a "Dig Pink" match where fans are encouraged to wear pink.
Friday's match against Concordia University Irvine will be at 8 p.m. following the final first-round game of the Hoops in Hawai'i men's tournament.
Men's and Women's Soccer
Saturday will be "Aloha Senior Day" against in-city rival Hawai'i Pacific University where the seniors from both teams will be honored following their respective games.
The Silversword women will carry a three-match winning streak into the season finale which starts at 10 a.m. while the men will look to play the role of spoilers as HPU needs a win to capture a share of the PacWest regular season title. The projected start time of the men's game is 12:30 p.m.
