Valmonte, Kieffer Named Silversword Athletes of the Week

Chaminade University men's soccer goalkeeper Jonah Valmonte (Poolesville, Md./Robert Morris University/Poolesville HS) and women's soccer forward Kenna Kiefer (Vail, Ariz./Cienega) are the Male and Female Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between Sept. 28 and Oct. 4.
 
Valmonte made eight saves in the Sept. 29 contest at Concordia, allowing just one goal to one of the highest scoring teams in the Pacific West Conference. It was the third time this season the senior has allowed one or fewer goals in a game.
 
Kiefer assisted in both the Silverswords' goals at Concordia on Sept. 29 and at Vanguard on Oct. 1. It enabled the senior to tie the program's all-time assists mark with five. Kiefer's three assists on the season is one shy of the single season record set twice, last in 2019.
