Lino, Paschoal Named Silversword Athletes of the Week

Chaminade University men's cross country runner Amari Lino (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) and women's volleyball player Lilinoe Paschoal (Paukukalo, Maui, Hawai'i/Baldwin) are the Male and Female Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between Aug. 31 and Sept. 6.
 
Lino made his Silverswords debut in last Saturday's University of Hawai'i Big Wave Invitational at the Kahuku Golf Course, finishing the 5-kilometer course in 20 minutes, 38.3 seconds. He was the first CUH runner to cross the finish line and was third overall.
 
Paschoal was named the Hawai'i Challenge Most Outstanding Setter after posting a 9.50 assists average during the four matches in helping the Silverswords as the only team to finish with a 4-0 mark. The sophomore had consecutive 40-assist performances including a career-high 45 against Seattle Pacific last Friday. She also totaled 41 digs, eight kills, eight aces and three blocks.
