LONG BEACH, Calif. – Chaminade University Athletics posted the fifth-highest grade-point average for the 2025-26 Pacific West Conference Academic Achievement Award, the conference announced Tuesday.
Athletics had a 3.48 GPA among the 11 programs which are members of the PacWest, each having team averages of at least 3.21.
Chaminade women's teams tied for the fourth-highest GPA in the conference while men's programs had the fifth highest at 3.38.
Among individual sports, four teams had the second-highest GPA in the conference; baseball (3.47), men's cross country (3.64), softball (3.51) and women's tennis (3.81). Women's soccer had the third-highest (3.71) in their sport.
Point Loma was the PacWest Academic Achievement Award winner with a GPA of 3.59. Vanguard was second at 3.54, followed by Dominican (3.51) and Menlo (3.49).
Each student-athletes' GPA during 2025-26 are taken into account for their respective squads. The GPAs are averaged out between the 15 sports the PacWest sponsors.
