Selena Buttery (Brockway, Pa./Brockway) added 10 more, making 4-of-5 from the field including two 3-pointers. It was Buttery's fourth straight game in double digits after her first 71 career games were in single figures in the scoring column.
Addison Sirianni (Mooresville, N.C./Lake Norman) posted a season-high eight points while also hitting a pair of 3s.
Alyssa Schuetze (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak) and
Kylie Squier (Branchville, N.J./Pope John XXIII Regional) both chipped in with six points while the former pulled down six rebounds.
Dominican, one of the six qualifiers for next week's Pacific West Conference Tournament, were led by Janiya Sawyer's 18 points in improving to 20-7 and 14-7 in the PacWest.
The 'Swords were able to hang with the Penguins for a good portion of the first half and held DUC to 31 points at halftime to trail by 13.
An 11-2 Dominican run early in the third quarter pushed its lead to 22. Sirianni's triple with 1:53 left in the period chipped the deficit to 16 but the Penguins answered with eight straight to close the third.
The already-depleted 'Swords were forced to use four players on the floor in the final 6:17 after four players fouled out.
Chaminade shot 35.8 percent from the floor with six 3s while grabbing 23 rebounds, seven assists and 18 turnovers. The 'Swords were able to handle Dominican's half-court trap in the final 20 minutes with just three giveaways.
Dominican was 60 percent from the field, had 47 boards, 15 assists and 14 turnovers.
The Silverswords (0-25, 0-21 PacWest) will conclude the season Saturday at Jessup University. Tipoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. Hawai'i time.
