Honolulu, HI- In a doubleheader televised live on OC-16, the Silverswords gave UH-Hilo everything they could handle in game one, falling 10-2 and then dropped game two 11-2.
Chaminade led 2-1 in the seventh after a Carolyn Fisher solo homerun gave the Silverswords the lead. However, an undermanned pitching staff, who had performed admirably throughout, saw the Vulcans bats warm up for eight runs in the seventh and the 9-2 UH-Hilo victory.
Game two was an 11-2 victory for the Vulcans. Chaminade concludes the season next Saturday at HPU in a doubleheader. First pitch is set for noon.
