Honolulu, HI -Chaminade dropped both game of their double header to the Eagles of Biola University at Central Oahu Regional Park. Struggling at the plate the Swords were out hit twenty-one to four in game one and eleven to two in the second game of their double header to fall 21-1 and 11-2 on the night.
The Eagles of Biola University came out hitting to start the first game with six hits and five runs in the first inning to go on top of the Silverswords. Chaminade answered with an RBI single by Anina Quaranto in the first inning, scoring their only run of the game.
Biola started the second game with two runs in the first inning and one in the second. Chaminade came back with an RBI single by McEachen in the bottom of the second to keep the game close. The Eagles added two more runs in the top of the third, but the swords battled back and added a home run by Brandi Sasaki in the bottom of the third. However it was not enough as BU added another unanswered run in the top of the fifth and five more runs in the top of the seventh to close out the game
The Silverswords were led by Brandi Sasaki with three hits on the night with a solo home run in game two.
The Eagles were led by Hudson and Levert with 6 hits each on the night, with Levert racking up as many RBI's.
With the losses, Chaminade falls to 7-32 on the year, while Biola University moves to 34-14 with the victory.
Chaminade faces the University of BYU-Hawaii Saturday, April 14, in Laie for a doubleheader. First pitch is set for 12 Noon.
