Kaneohe, Hawai`i - Chaminade University falls to nationally ranked Hawaii Pacific University in a pair of Saturday afternoon games, 18-0 and 11-2.
HPU came out strong, scoring eight runs in the first inning of game one. The Sea Warriors added four runs in each of the next two innings, finishing off the game with a score of 18-0.
Chaminade came out quick in game two, taking the lead one to zero in the first inning. Leading off with a base hit, Keli-Grace Saniatan advanced to third on a fielder's choice and an error. Caila McEachen grounded out to the shortstop to drive in Saniatan for the RBI.
The Sea Warriors retaliated, scoring eight first inning runs. HPU added three more runs in the second inning. The Swords fought back in the top of the fourth but it was not enough as HPU finished the game 11-2.
The Silverswords were led by Carolyn Fisher, who went two for five at the plate for the afternoon.
