Kaneohe, HI- The Swords Men’s Soccer team battled the Sea Warriors of Hawaii Pacific today at Atherton Field in Kaneohe. The match was tight early on, as the first forty-plus minutes went by without a score. HPU ended the drought in the 42nd minute and went into the half leading 1-0.
Chaminade found itself down 2-0 heading into the last ten minutes, and were looking for a score. The Sea Warriors responded to the challenge, adding goals in the 84th and 86th minutes to garner the 4-0 win. The Swords offense was led by Garrett Barker who led CUH with 4 shots (2 on goal).
CUH was out-shot 16-7 in defeat. Kris Lounsbury made seven saves for the Swords.
With the loss, Chaminade falls to 1-12-1. HPU moves to 5-3-1 overall. The Swords are back in action against BYU-Hawaii on October 25th. Game time is set for 1:30 PM HT in Laie, HI.
