Honolulu, HI- Make it three in a row. The Swords defeated NDNU 79-68 tonight, coming back home for their first game in McCabe in nearly a month.
Chaminade was aggressive on the defensive end, getting 11 steals on the evening. Four players scored in double figures for the Swords. Jamar Berry and Joel Smith each had 13, while Mohamed Tangara and Cartier Carter each added 10 points in the win.
CUH won the battle of the boards 36-27. Joel Smith led with 8, while Mohamed Tangara and Jamar Berry each added 7. Patrick Collier added three trifectas for 9 points.
NDNU was led by All Pac West performer Dan Bergeron who had 18 points on the evening.
Chaminade moves to 6-6 on the year, 3-1 in the Pac West conference. NDNU falls to 4-10. The Swords are back in action on Thursday night (Jan 15th) vs. BYU-Hawaii. The Seasiders are currently ranked in the top 10 in the nation. Game time is set for 7:30 PM HT and will be televised on OC 16.
