Honolulu, HI- In a Pac West Conference match-up that was competitive from start to finish, Dominican got a penalty kick goal in the 97th minute for a 2-1 victory.
Chaminade and Dominican battled the first forty-five minutes to a scoreless draw, setting up a thrilling second half and overtime. The Penguins got on the board first as Jose Contreras scored off an assist from Shane Huiberts to go up 1-0.
Chaminade did not falter after the Dominican goal. The Penguins lost Tim Pinella to his second yellow card of the match and the Swords went on the offensive. Jonathan Fukumoto (Mililani, HI/Mililani) scored off the assist of Austin Maher (San Antonio, TX/Clark) to knot the game at 1-1. The rest of regulation garnered no goals for both sides and the match headed to overtime.
Dominican earned a penalty kick in the 97th minute from a Chaminade hand ball and Pedro Guevara converted the penalty and Dominican took the 2-1 win.
