Queen Creek, AZ- The Pac West Men's Basketball All Conference Team was announced today. Three Swords were honored, with both Mohamed Tangara (Bamako, Mali) and Joel Smith (Lompoc, CA) making first team. Junior guard Noah Gottlieb (Los Angeles, CA) made honorable mention.
Mohamed Tangara averaged 14.4 points per contest, to go along with 8.7 rebounds per game. Smith, a 6'4 wing player for the Swords, averaged 15.3 points per contest while corralling 6.1 rebounds.
Gottlieb had a solid all-around year for the Swords, scoring 9.4 points per game, while contributing 5 assists and 4 rebounds per contest.
BYU-Hawaii's Lucas Alves was named Player of the Year in the conference. Engen Nurumbi was named Newcomer of the Year, while Jon Judkins claimed Coach of the Year honors.
