Rohnert Park, CAI- Chaminade concluded their long road trip today with a loss to Sonoma State University. Due to weather the game was called after 4 ½ innings, The Swords trailed at that point 6 runs to 1. The second game was also cancelled due to rainy conditions and will not be made up.
Chelsi Walls pitched 4 innings, she faced 23 batters gave up 8 hits and 6 earned runs. She walked 3 batters and she did not have a strikeout. The Swords really struggled from the plate today, they got up to the plate 20X as a team, of those only 4 players got hits, two of which were by Keli-Grace Kaowili-Sanaitan.
They fell by a score of 6 to 1, Shalin “Anuhea” Yamaguchi got the only RBI with her 4th homerun of the year coming in the Top of the 2nd inning.
With the loss today Chaminade falls to 7-32 on the season.
The next game for the Silverwords is at Laie, HI Saturday April 11th against BYU- Hawaii First pitch is set for 12:00PM HT.
