The Lady Swords needed just two innings to score 6 runs, in the first inning, Senior Chasity Senas, knocked in the first hit of the game for Chaminade with a hard hit ball to center field, resulting in a single. However, it was not until the second inning of play that CUH erupted and scored 6 runs and in fact thanks in large part to defensive adjustments by the Lady Cougars of Azusa Pacific, the Lady Swords were unable to produce anymore runs. Despite a late rally by Azusa Pacific which netted 5 runs, the Lady
Kasy'e Lalau pitched an incredible 7 innings, despite not striking anybody out, she secured her first win of her senior season. The Lady Swords rallied behind her and provided great defense, however, pitch placement from Lalau played a major role in tonight's 6 to 5 win.
