The Lady Swords managed just two hits against the #18th ranked Lady Tars of Rollins College, while the Tars were able to come up with 6 runs, 4 earned runs on 11 hits. Tonight's game, despite the lopsided hits and runs scored by Rollins was relatively close heading into the bottom of the 6th inning, despite the solid good hitting from the Lady Tars of Rollins College.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, thanks in large part to a homerun by Christine Roser, the Rollins College Tars exploded for 3 runs on 3 hits – they never looked back and despite a great effort on defense from the Lady Swords, the Lady Swords bats proved to be ineffective against the 18th ranked Lady Tars and also the arm strength of Hope Bitzer. She gave up only 2 hits, she faced 23 batters faced and she also recorded 7 strikeouts in the win.
