CUH WSB: Lady Swords Swept by Eagles of Faulkner University 2 games to 0

Waipahu, HI – The Lady Swords took on the Eagles of Faulkner University and fell 2 games to 0, losing the first game in extra innings and losing the 2nd game in 7 innings.

   Chaminade fell 4 runs to 2. Kasy'e Lalau gave up 11 hits, 1 earned-runs, walked 2 and struck out 2 batters in the 37 that she faced.
Despite getting 7 hits, the Lady Swords were unable to come out victorious. Senior shortstop Syke Virtudes went 3 for 5 on the day. She also knocked in both of Chaminade's runs.
The Lady Swords battled for 9 solid innings, the defense played well and the end the Eagles won a close game, 4 to 2.
Game # 2 – The Lady Swords fell behind early and never recovered, giving up two of the three runs scored in the first two innings.
Senior Chelsi Walls started off the game and Kelly Korras came in a bit later and ended up finishing off the remainder of the game.

CUH got up to the plate 31 times and was able to produce 8 hits, they scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning, however, Faulkner continued their dominance and scored one more run and ended up winning a close battle 3 runs to 2.  
With the sweep today, Chaminade falls to 5-15 overall, while the Lady Eagles improves their record to 14- on the year. The Lady Swords are back in action March 19th against BYU-Hawaii  at CORP field in a double header match up.  First pitch is set for 12PM.
