Honolulu, HI – Over the weekend the Chaminade Lady Swords were swept by defending DII National Champions, Hawai'i Pacific University. Despite battling in the second inning, the Lady Swords came up short in extra innings, falling 8 to 4 in the first game and 5 to 4 in the second game.
GAME # 1
The Lady Swords played well through most of the game, however, in the top of the 5th inning CUH gave up 7 runs and never fully recovered. They fell by a score of 8 to 4 at the hands of the defending DII National Champions.

Game # 2
Chaminade's second game of was one that slipped away. They fought hard and ended up losing in extra innings, however, they gave the Sea Warriors all they could handle in the extra inning loss 5 to 4.

With the loss Chaminade falls to 14-34 overall and 7-11 in the Pacific West Conference.
Chaminade concludes the 2011 Softball season next weekend at CORP field when they take on the visiting Vulcans of UH-Hilo. First pitch of the double-header is set for 12:00PM on May 1st.
