Box Score 2 WAIPIO, HI – The Silverswords again found themselves in a thrilling doubleheader, this time in a non-conference doubleheader against conference foe, BYU-Hawaii. Chaminade, recently selected eighth in the ten team PacWest Conference, took on the 'Siders on a pleasant Saturday afternoon doubleheader at Central Oahu Regional Park.
Chaminade played well in the first game of the doubleheader, as junior shortstop
Rayna Strom-Okimoto (Aiea, HI/Aiea High) went 3-3 including a three-run homerun, but it wasn't enough. The Seasiders scored four runs in the top of the seventh, and Chaminade left the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh as BYU-Hawaii claimed the 4-3 victory. The Swords left nine runners on base, six in scoring position, in the loss.
Freshman pitcher
Brett Aspel (Redondo Beach, CA, Redondo Union) took the loss in the first game of the doubleheader. BYU-Hawaii's junior pitcher Tiffanee Frampton earned the win.
BYU-Hawaii scored five runs in the opening inning of game two to take a decided advantage early on. The Seasiders added one run in both the second and third innings to extend the lead to 7-0.
Freshman
Elia Lizarraga (Torrance, CA/Narbonne High) was impressive in the second game, reaching base in her first three at bats after going 2-4 in game one. Another freshman from Torrance, CA,
Ashley Phelps (South High) drove in a run for the Swords in the fifth inning of second contest. The Seasiders won game two, 9-1.

Kaitlyn Watanabe (Kula, HI/Baldwin High) had the loss for CUH.
Chaminade is back at CORP for a non-conference doubleheader against Hawaii Pacific on Sunday, February 12
th. First pitch is set for 12:00 PM HT.
With the loss to the Seasiders, the Swords move to 1-3, 0-0 in PWC while BYU-Hawaii moves to 3-1 overall.
