Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 WAIPIO, HI –The Swords lost two conference contests to the 'Siders of BYU-Hawaii by scores of 2-0 and 8-0 (6 innings) today at Central Oahu Regional Park.  The games were originally scheduled for Laie, HI, but were moved due to poor field conditions on the North Shore.

CUH lost a low-scoring battle in game one, losing 2-0 to the conference rivals from Laie.  Freshman pitcher Brett Aspel (Redondo Beach, CA, Redondo Union) took the loss in the pitcher's duel.

BYU-Hawaii got the offense going in game two and won by eight run rule in game two, 8-0 in six innings.

Freshman pitcher Kaitlyn Watanabe (Kula, HI/Baldwin High) got the loss for CUH in game two, pitching four innings for Chaminade.

Coach Kent Yamaguchi commented on the defeats: “We have to find a way to beat BYU-Hawaii.  They made plays, but our bats were quiet today.  The last four games, we hit the ball.  We didn't have the hitting going today.  I told the team we have to forget about today quickly and look forward to playing tomorrow.”

Chaminade is back in action for a doubleheader against Notre Dame de Namur on March 11th in Waipio, HI (CORP).  First pitch is set for 12:00 PM HT.
