MSOC: Swords Drop Decision to Penguins

Box Score HONOLULU – The Chaminade men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Dominican University on Monday in a Pacific West Conference game at St. Louis Field.
 
Chaminade fell to 0-10 on the season and 0-6 in the PacWest. The Penguins improved to 4-7-2 and 2-4-1.
 
Dominican's Kolby Mitnick accounted for both goals, the first coming at the 35th minutes when he went past two defenders and fired a shot from 10 yards out. Then at the 61st minute, he captured a loose ball in the Silverswords' side of the field, sped past several defenders down the left sideline and beat two Swords' defenders and the goalkeeper from 15 yards out to find the back of the net.
 
Penguins net minder Patrick Rabbitt got the win, while the Swords' Nic Jetter took the loss.
 
Despite the setback, the Silverswords out-shot the Penguins, 32-18, as well as shots on-goal (14-7).
 
Chaminade returns to St. Louis Field on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. when they face Fresno Pacific as a part of the PacWest doubleheader with the women.
