LAIE, Hawai'i – The Chaminade men's and women's cross country teams completed its final regular season races of the year at the BYUH Invitational Saturday morning.
Silverswords' men's standout
Jorge Cisneros finished the 8K men's race in third at a time of 26:20, only 17 seconds behind winner Leandro Santillan of Hawai'i Pacific. It's the senior's fourth consecutive top-five finish this season.
Emmanuel Jimenez was the next Sword finisher at 28:29, followed by
Patrick Cantor-Martinez (33:37), Aris Spring (34:39) and
Kevin Ruaro (35:58). As a team, CUH finished third with 90 points.
On the women's 5K side, Chaminade came in fifth with 157 points.
Jessica Wences was the first Lady Sword to cross the finish line at 21:17, followed by
Shannon Whener at 22:31.
Ellissa Bio came in third among CUH women's runners at 23:13, followed by
Nicole Daoang, making her debut as a Sword (24:23),
Floresa Santos (26:08) and
Nicole Yamase (26:20).
Both Silversword teams will take a week off as they prepare for the Pacific West Conference Championships on Nov. 2 in Novato, Calif.
