MSOC: Swords Drop Decision at Point Loma

Box Score SAN DIEGO – The Chaminade men's soccer team continues to search for its first victory of the season after dropping a 4-1 decision to Point Loma in a Pacific West Conference match on Thursday.

The Silverswords fell to 0-7 and 0-3, while the Sea Lions improved to 5-3-2 and 3-0-2.

Point Loma's Daniel ten Bosch opened the scoring at the 10-minute mark with a goal in the middle of the box. Griffin Fuller was credited with an assist.

The duo would pair up again, this time Fuller being the recipient of a ten Bosch pass with a header off a free kick, making it 2-0 at the 49-minute mark. Fuller and ten Bosch teamed up again 37 seconds later with Fuller's second goal and ten Bosch's second assist, making it 3-0 at the half.

After the Sea Lions added a fourth goal, the Silverswords got on the board in the 78th minute when Matt Davies took a rebound from the Point Loma goalkeeper and found the back of the net, for his first career goal.

The Swords return to action on Saturday when they face Azusa Pacific. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. PDT.
