Gunderson, Tecklenburg Earn HPH Athletes of the Week

Colby Gunderson (Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Castle) and Emma Tecklenburg (Plano, Texas/Plano Senior) have been named the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Male and Female Athletes of the Week for the week of September 30 through October 6.
 
Gunderson, a junior, fired a career-low 1-under-par 71 to finish in second place in the men's golf team's season-opening match against Hawai'i Pacific University at Leilehua Golf Course last Tuesday. His 71 bested his previous career-low of 74 which was set at the 2019 Pacific West Conference Golf Championships.
 
Tecklenburg averaged 3.7 kills and 2.2 digs during the week with four service aces and four total blocks to help the Silverswords complete a perfect Northern California road trip. The senior moved into fifth the school's all-time kills list last week and now has 1,093 career kills. Tecklenburg needs 12 to move past Kim Spring for fourth in the list and 119 to pass Trina Kauliakamoa who is in third.
