Softball Season Opener Rained Out

WAIPAHU, O'ahu, Hawai'i – Friday's season-opening game for the Chaminade University softball team against Rollins College has been cancelled due to flooding at Patsy T. Mink Central O'ahu Regional Park Softball Field.
 
It marks the second consecutive year that the Silverswords had their Opening Day rained out. Last year Chaminade's non-conference doubleheader against Hawai'i Hilo was a wash.
 
While the game will not be made up, Saturday's scheduled doubleheader between the 'Swords and Tars is still set with first pitch slated for 12 p.m. at CORP Field.
