Dressler Earns Second Team All-West Region

HONOLULU – Chaminade University guard Grant Dressler (Las Vegas/Sacramento State/Palo Verde HS) on Friday was named to the D2CCA All-West Region Second Team as voted by sports information directors from the 36 NCAA Division II West Region schools.

The 6-7 senior helped guide the Silverswords to 23 wins, their most since moving to Division II in 1986-87 and a berth in the first round of the NCAA West Regional, the team's first since 2014.

Dressler is second in the Pacific West Conference in scoring (19.3) and 3-point percentage (43.6) while leading the conference in 3-pointers per game (3.0). He was named to the All-PacWest Third Team and was one of 50 players nationally as a candidate for the Bevo Francis Award for the best non-NCAA Division I college basketball player in the nation.

Point Loma's Daulton Hommes was named the West Region Player of the Year while Concordia Irvine's Brian Chambers was named to the first team. Andrija Blatancic of Academy of Art joins Dressler as second team all-region.
