IRVINE, Calif. – Chaminade University guard
Isaac Amaral-Artharee (Portland, Ore./Central Catholic) on Monday was named the Pacific West Conference Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the week of Jan. 6 to 12.
The redshirt freshman totaled 29 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals to help the Silverswords go 2-1 during the week.
On Saturday, Amaral-Artharee had 17 points on five 3-pointers – both career highs – to help the 'Swords down Notre Dame de Namur. He also had three rebounds and two steals in the game. Amaral-Artharee had nine points with a pair of triples on Wednesday against league-leading Point Loma.
Amaral-Artharee is second on the team in made 3-pointers with 22, hitting them at a 40.7 percent clip, and is averaging 7.6 points per game.
The other PacWest weekly awardees were Hawai'i Hilo's Sasha Vuksanovic (Player) and Point Loma's Kaden Anderson (Defender).
