Benavente, Roman Young Named HPH Athletes of the Week

Kali Benavente (Tamuning, Guam/Academy of Our Lady of Guam) and Roman Young (Wichita, Kan./Mineral Area College/Sunrise Christian Academy) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Athletes of the Week for contests from Jan. 20 throught 26.
 
Benavente had 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals to help the women's basketball team split their two games last week. The senior guard had three assists in the Silverswords' win over Holy Names last Thursday followed by a nine-point effort against Concordia Irvine two days later.
 
Young totaled 11 points, five rebounds, six assists and eight steals for the men's basketball team. The redshirt junior guard had a solid contest last Thursday against Holy Names with 11 points and three assists while his six steals is the most by a Silversword this season. He added two more steals and three assists on Saturday against Concordia.
