Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, seniors from Chaminade University's spring sports did not have a chance to complete their seasons. Over the past two weeks, GoSwords.com talked to the outgoing spring sport seniors about their time as members of the Chaminade ohana and a Silversword student-athlete.

Curtis Coburn of men's golf. The Huntington Beach, Calif. native and Biology major was a member of the golf team for the past two years but is better known for his exploits on the soccer pitch where he is just one of two players in program history to earn three All-Pacific West Conference selections. A three-time Academic All-PacWest honoree, Coburn is tied for fourth all-time in career goals (7) and tied for fifth in points (16) while also serving as the president of the Chaminade Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Q (GS.com): What are your plans after college?
A (CC): I plan on going to flight school to get my pilot's license.
Q: What are your favorite memories as a Chaminade student-athlete?
A: My favorite memories of being a student-athlete is being able to compete with all my teammates.
Q: What are some of the things you'll miss about being on the team?
A: The things I'm going to miss being on the teams are all the guys and going on road trips.
Q: What is something you learned while being at CUH that you will take with you after college?
A: An important lesson I've learned at Chaminade is to always give your best effort and, despite the outcome, you know you did everything you could to succeed.
Q: Any advice for the underclassmen?
A: I would say to just enjoy every moment you have playing the sport you love because it goes by quickly.
