In Hawaiian language, "ho'okahi" translates "to make one."
On Mondays and Thursdays this summer, GoSwords.com will talk to select returning student-athletes from all 10 Chaminade University sports about how they are learning from home, keeping busy and coping with the current situation.

Colby Gunderson of men's golf. The Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i native finished third on the Silverswords with an 81.38 per round average this season. He shot a career-low 1-under-par 71 while finishing as the runner-up in a match against Hawai'i Pacific University during the team's season-opening tournament on Sept. 30 in the fall non-championship season.
Q (GS.com): What are you missing the most about Chaminade?
A (ES): The thing I am missing most at Chaminade is seeing fellow classmates and just hanging out with them, whether is studying or grabbing lunch and sometimes both at the same time.
Q: What are you doing to keep your spirits up during the situation?
A: I keep my spirits high by hanging out with friends and full-sending it (giving a 100 percent commitment even if you end up failing).
Q: How are you staying connected with your coaches and teammates?
A: I stay connected with my coaches and teammates by phone or social media.
Q: Have you learned any new skills or picked up new hobbies that you otherwise would not have if not for the current situation?
A: I started to go kayaking and fishing a lot more because of how isolated you are when doing these activities. I also started to watch a lot of new TV shows. I usually don't have the time to do that.
Q: What is your favorite on-the-field or on-court memory from this past 2019-20 year?
A: My favorite on-the-course moment was when we played our final round together as a team at the Metropolitan Golf Links (in Oakland, Calif., which was a practice round before the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the remainder of the season). It was fun and a good way to go out as a team.
Q: What is the first thing you will do after we return to a sense of "normalcy?"
A: The first thing I'll do is have a proper family gathering and go out to the sandbar. I also want to hit the gym again and start grinding.
