HONOLULU – Chaminade University Athletics announced Wednesday limited fan attendance for the remaining volleyball matches for this season and the final men's and women's soccer games on Monday.
Spectators for volleyball begins tonight against Hawai'i Pacific University with maximum of 72 people allowed which is just under 10 percent of the capacity of McCabe Gymnasium.
For volleyball, fan attendance will be through player and coach invitation only, which is limited to two per person for Chaminade, a policy similar to one used during the spring 2021 season. Fans of visiting teams will be limited to 24 people. All spectators must be vaccinated (proof of vaccination required) with mask-wearing and social distancing of six feet per twosome will apply.
Depending on latest government mandates, McCabe Gym capacity may change for the volleyball team's next home stand starting Nov. 3.
For the final soccer games against Point Loma at Saint Louis Field on Monday, only Chaminade departing seniors will be allowed to have invited guests which is two per senior. All spectators must be vaccinated with six feet of social distancing and wear masks. Because of damage to the main grand stands opposite of the team benches rendering it unsafe, invited guests of senior honorees will be directed to the mauka end zone bleachers outside of the field's running track.
