Fonseca, Miranda Earn HPH Silversword Athlete Honors

Chaminade University soccer players Jamin Fonseca (Mililani, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Mililani) and Savannah Breeze Miranda (Aiea, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Aiea) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Male and Female Silversword Athletes of the Week for games between Nov. 1 and 7.
 
Fonseca provided the game-winning goal in the Nov. 4 win at Holy Names, his second goal of the year. The winner helped the Silverswords get their first Pacific West Conference win of the season.
 
Miranda earned PacWest Defender of the Week honors after delivering game-winning assists in back-to-back contests at Academy of Art and Fresno Pacific. Interestingly, both assists were goals by the team's Cain sisters, Sharon and Caili. The 'Swords completed their Northern California road trip on a three-match winning streak while giving them their seventh win of the season, both program records. It also insured at least a .500 season for the first time ever.
