Mikala Jacobsen (Buena Park, Calif./Cypress College/Cypress HS) and baseball catcher
Trysten Mooney (Helena, Mont./Wenatchee Valley College/Capital HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Female and Male Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between April 20-26.
Jacobsen ended her career with base hits in the Silverswords' season finale last Friday against Hawai'i Hilo. The senior centerfielder went 3-for-7 and a run in the doubleheader against the Vulcans. Jacobsen finished the season with a four-game hitting streak and hit .467 during that span.
Mooney hit .308 with three RBI and had base hits in three of the four games he played during the week. The senior had a hit and RBI against Hawai'i Pacific last Wednesday as well as his first two games against Hawai'i Hilo. In his final start at catcher on Saturday, Mooney had two hits and an RBI.
