Martinez, Kremer Earn HPH Silversword Athlete Honors

Chaminade University guards Dallas Martinez (Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Whitter College/Sacred Hearts Academy) and Kevin Kremer (Chico, Calif./University of Utah/Pleasant Valley HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Female and Male Silversword Athletes of the Week for games between Nov. 29 and Dec. 5.
 
Martinez was the women's basketball team's high scorer against Concordia and Point Loma last week, totaling 29 points and shooting 66.7 percent (8-of-12) from the floor. She posted 12 points, two rebounds, an assist and steal in their Pacific West Conference opener against Concordia last Wednesday while hitting 4 of 5 shots from the floor. Martinez followed with 17 points against Point Loma, one shy of her career high she set while at Whittier College, while pulling down two boards and dishing out three assists.
 
Kremer posted his second double-double of the season with 11 points and 11 rebounds in the men's basketball team's PacWest opener against Concordia which snapped the 'Swords' four-game losing streak. He is averaging 7.1 points and a team-high 7.3 rebounds per game.
