IRVINE, Calif. – Chaminade University redshirt sophomores
Isaac Amaral-Artharee (Portland, Ore./Central Catholic) and
Kevin Kremer (Chico, Calif./Utah/Pleasant Valley HS) were named to the Pacific West Conference All-Hawai'i Pod Team on Wednesday.
Amaral-Artharee, a 6-foot-2 guard, started all 12 games and led the Silverswords in scoring this past season at a 14.3 per game clip with a team-leading 26 3-pointers. His 2.2 triples per game was tied for sixth overall in the conference. His finest game was on Feb. 17 when he hit for a career-high 27 points in a win at Hawai'i Pacific University.
Kremer, a 6-6 guard, finished second behind Amaral-Arthraee in the team's scoring column at 12.9 ppg. He also led the 'Swords in rebounding (8.6 per game), steals (1.3) and blocks (1.1). Kremer also had four double-doubles.
The all-conference teams were determined differently this year. Since all PacWest teams played nearly exclusively in their own "pods" or geographic region, coaches could only vote within their pod while the specialty awards such as the player of the year was voted by all coaches.
Kaden Anderson of Point Loma was named the overall PacWest Player of the Year while the University of Hawai'i Hilo had two honorees with Jordan Graves (Defender) and Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones (Newcomer). Biola's Dave Holmquist was Coach of the Year.
