LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Chaminade University women's volleyball team were one of 1,275 volleyball teams across the nation to be honored with the United States Marine Corps (USMC)/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2021-21 academic year.
It is the third consecutive year and fifth in the last six the Silverswords were honored with the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award.
To qualify for the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award, volleyball teams (men's/women's collegiate indoor and beach, boys/girls high school) must have a minimum 3.30 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
