Taylor, Phillip Earn HPH Silversword Athlete Honors

Chaminade University's Paris Taylor (Bolivar, Tenn./University of Wisconsin Green Bay/Central HS) and Sasha Phillip (Hau'ula, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Hawai'i Baptist Academy) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Male and Female Athletes of the Week for competition between Jan. 10 and 16.
 
Taylor had a career-high 17 points and tied another with seven rebounds to help the men's basketball team defeat Dominican on Jan. 15. The junior made his first eight shots before missing is only attempt late in the game.
 
Phillip had eight points and five boards for the women's basketball team against Dominican on Jan. 15. Seven of her points came during a stretch in the first quarter which helped the 'Swords take as many as a 10-point lead. Her five boards were a season high for the sophomore.
