HONOLULU – Chaminade University softball head coach
Kent Yamaguchi announced Friday several schedule changes for the month of February.
The Silverswords' doubleheader against the University of British Columbia scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 16 has been canceled.
In UBC's place, the 'Swords have added the University of Hawai'i in a doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 18 at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. Although the two programs have met regularly during the non-championship season in UH's annual Fall Preseason Classic each November, this will be the first regular season meeting between the Silverswords and their Division I neighbors since February 2000.
Opening Day for Chaminade is next Wednesday when they host Corban University at Maryknoll Field at Sand Island Park. First pitch of the twin bill is set for 1 p.m.
