Chaminade University women's soccer midfielder
Savannah Breeze Miranda (Aiea, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Aiea) and men's soccer forward
Kevin Yulkowski (Miami/Cutler Bay) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Female and Male Silversword Athletes of the Week for competition between Oct. 10 and 16.
Miranda's first career goal came at the most opportune time, firing in the game-winner with just under two minutes left to play in the Silverswords' 2-1 win over Holy Names on Thursday. The victory propelled them to a 3-0-1 start in the PacWest, putting them among the conference leaders in the standings.
Yulkowski accounted for his first career point with an assist for the 'Swords in their matchup against Holy Names. The freshman fired a shot towards the net which was deflected by a Hawks' defender but caromed to
Owen Caba for what was then the tying goal, giving Yulkowski the assist.
