Chaminade University guards
Olivia Crigler (Hebron, Ky./Pacific Union University/Holy Cross HS) and
Braden Olsen (West Linn, Ore./Gannon University/West Linn HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Female and Male Athletes of the Week for competition between Dec. 12-19.
Crigler totaled 48 points during the four games for the women's basketball during the week. She posted the two highest scoring games of the season with 24 points on Dec. 12 at Holy Names which helped the Silverswords earn their first win of the season while pulling down a season-best eight rebounds. On Dec. 17, she scored 21 points and matched her rebounding high against Hope International.
Olsen totaled 53 points, 24 rebounds and 23 assists for the men's team during their five-game stretch during the week. The graduate transfer posted his first double-double of the season with a 14-point, 11-assist performance against St. Edward's in Saturday's Hoops in Hawai'i Holiday Classic opener. He then had eight points, five boards and four assists in the Silverswords' upset over No. 18 Saint Martin's on Sunday.
