Jalen Brattain (Shallowater, Texas/Lubbock Christian Univ./Shallowater HS) are the Hawai'i Pacific Health Silversword Female and Male Athletes of the Week for competition between Nov. 28 and Dec. 4.
Martinez posted 33 points including a career-high 21 against Hawai'i Pacific University last Tuesday. She also tallied 16 rebounds, six assists and a steal in the Silverswords' Pacific West Conference openers against HPU and Hawai'i Hilo. She also made 14 of her 15 free throw attempts during the week.
Brattain came off the bench in both games at HPU and UH Hilo, combining for 32 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks and two steals while making 11-of-18 shots from the field with four 3-pointers. In last week's win at HPU, he scored a career-high 23 points with nine boards and three blocks.
