HONOLULU – Chaminade University Athletics announced Saturday that for all softball home games held in seated venues, fans are required to show a vaccination card which shows full vaccination status or a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of game day. A photo ID will also be required at entry.
Negative PCR or antigen tests must be conducted from a laboratory certified by the CLIA (Clinical Laboratories Improvement Amendments). Home test kit results will not be accepted.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be allowed. Masks are required at all times except for when actively eating or drinking.
The policy will apply for Monday's doubleheader against Western Oregon at McKinley High School Field.
Vaccination cards and negative tests will not be required for competitions on city- and state-owned venues that does not have seated bleachers. It includes Maryknoll Field at Sand Island Park.
